Prior to settlement:

• Create a list of any and all addresses where you have resided for the past ten years.
• Call for final utility readings (power and water) before you arrive at the closing.

At the closing table:

• All parties involved in the execution of the sale documents will need to provide picture identification.
• Know your social security numbers or bring your card with you to closing.
• Provide your new address and your new home phone number to your closer.
• Bring all house keys, garage door opener controls, and alarm system codes to closing.
• Bring warranty's / owners manuals you may have kept for appliances and mechanical systems to the closing if applicable.
• If you are or were married at any point during the period in which you owned the property, all said parties will almost certainly need to be present at the closing to sign documents even if the property was purchased individually
